EduTechCluster interviews Sistema THEAD: "Digital education must be inclusive from the start."
We are delighted to share the interview published by EduTechCluster in its newsletter, featuring the journey of Sistema THEAD and our commitment to accessible, inclusive and high-quality digital education for all children.
The interview comes after Scratch Tactile was recognised with one of the European Digital Skills Awards 2026 last July. This award reinforces a belief that guides everything we do: when a child cannot participate in a digital learning experience, the problem is not their ability, but the barriers that we need to identify and remove.
In the interview, we explain how Scratch Tactile was born from a personal experience of our co-founder, Maria Seoane. A specific difficulty in taking part in an electronics activity led us to wonder how many other children might face similar obstacles. That question inspired us to develop a solution that makes programming and computational thinking more tangible, creative and accessible.
Today, Scratch Tactile is already present in more than 70 countries, enabling children with and without disabilities to learn and create together. This impact is made possible by an international community of teachers, schools, families, organisations and collaborators who share our commitment to an education system that leaves no one behind.
This European recognition encourages us to keep moving forward: improving Tactile Jr, developing new accessible solutions and strengthening projects such as Tactile Family and Diversi:Bit. We are working towards an ambitious goal: reaching one million children by 2030, while always keeping accessibility at the heart of every decision we make.
